full fannish disclosure

Below follows a list of the fannish things that make me squee and flail. Posted here, because my info page is cluttered enough.

HARRY POTTER:

Characters:

My favorite character is Sirius Black by a good mile and a half, followed closely by James Potter, Remus Lupin, Regulus Black, Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger. I also like Severus Snape, Neville Longbottom, Minerva McGonagall, and -- for reasons I've never really been able to explain -- Stan Shunpike.

Ships:

I like James, Remus, Regulus, and Sirius in any and every combination. I also like Harry, Ron, Remus, and Sirius in any permutation that comes to mind, as well as Harry/Neville, Remus/Neville, and Bellatrix with Regulus and/or Sirius. Not to mention Remus and/or Sirius with Hermione, Ginny, and Minerva, and don't forget James, Remus, and/or Sirius with Lily. There's always room for Snape, particularly with James, Sirius, Regulus, and Lily, and then there's Harry/Ron/Hermione, Harry and/or Ron with Ginny, and also Fred and George -- bonus points if they remember to bring a friend.

To a lesser degree, I like Harry, Ron, and Neville with Draco and/or Luna, plus Ron/Hermione, Arthur/Molly, and Snape/Minerva. Honorable mention goes to Snape/Draco, Snape/Neville, and -- under the right conditions -- Harry/Pansy, Ron/Pansy, Harry/Snape, Snape/Hermione, and Draco/Hermione.

Gen:

My very favorite timeframes are MWPP during their school years, and MWPP during the first war with Voldemort. I'm also interested in Sirius' relationship with his brother, the general dysfunctional state of the Black family, and the time Sirius spent living with James. After that, I like anything related to Neville, Luna, and the Trio.

Kinks and/or Enticements:

Angst, prolonged UST, snark, and banter. Dubious consent and ambiguous endings. Grudgefucking, mindfucking, and emotional manipulation. First times, particularly after 5,000 words of stoic pining. Infidelity and proxy sex. Wall sex, desperate sex, half-clothed sex, dirty talk when it's both filthy and believable. Crossgen. Blackcest. Certain flavors of Weasleycest. Allegedly!straight James, and Sirius calling Remus Moony. Drunken stumbles, awkward fumbles, threesomes, clusterfucks, and special moments in broom cupboards. Under the right circumstances, I won't say no to biting, light bondage, polyjuice brothels, grabby Inferi, and the occasional dead body.

AMERICAN GODS:

Characters:

My favourite character is Shadow, followed closely by Wednesday and Loki.

Ships:

I like Shadow with Loki, Mad Sweeney, Laura, Bast, and -- under the right circumstances -- Wednesday. I also like Ibis/Jacquel, Wednesday/Bilquis, and Wednesday/Easter.

Gen:

I love anything about Wednesday and Loki's working relationship prior to the books, and the time Shadow and Loki spent as cellmates. I also like anything related to Ibis and Jacquel's daily, domestic life, or Shadow trying to keep his head on straight during long, surreal conversations with Wednesday, Czernobog, Mr. Nancy, or the Zoryas.

Kinks and/or Enticements:

Angst. Godsized machinations. Wednesday poaching on under-age virgins. Situations where Shadow/Loki is either in fact or heavily implied, and Wednesday is not best pleased about it. A Jacquel who drinks a bit too much, and an Ibis who's a passive-agressive fusspot.

GOOD OMENS:

Characters:

My favorite characters are Aziraphale, Crowley, Anathema Device, Newt Pulsifier, and the Them.

Ships:

I like Aziraphale/Crowley, followed by Newt/Anathema, Adam/Pepper, Crowley/Adam, Brian/Wensleydale, and Shadwell/Madame Tracy. If pressed, I'd say I also have a secret fondess for Adam and Harry Potter.

Gen:

I love anything with a historical setting, particularly when it involved Aziraphale and Crowley trying (and failing) to thwart each other. I also like anything about the eleven years they spent messing Warlock about, Crowley dealing with the Hellish bureaucracy, the time Newt spent as a Witchfinder Private, and snapshots of the Them holding court at the pit.

Kinks and/or Enticements:

Azirphale being completely oblivious, and Crowley pining in silence. Aziraphale and Crowley getting together due to the machinations of others, and Crowley in jealous fits unbecoming of demons. Six thousand year-old virgins, particularly when that virgin is Aziraphale. Adam falling into bed with people accidentally, and Crowley calling Aziraphale angel.

BOONDOCK SAINTS:

Characters:

My favorite characters are Connor and Murphy MacManus.

Ships:

I like Connor/Murphy, period. Occasionally, I can be coaxed to read Connor/Murphy/Smecker.

Gen:

I'm partial to anything related to the brothers and their mission, their lives before they came to Boston, and their relationship with their father. I also like explorations of Smecker's guilt about letting them get away.

Kinks and/or Enticements:

Snark, banter, and snappy dialogue. Angst, religious symbolism, and blasphemy. Prolonged UST, one or both of the brothers pining in silence, rutting, frottage, and ridiculous amounts of Catholic guilt.

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN:

Characters:

My favorite characters are Captain Jack Sparrow, Will Turner, Bootstrap Bill Turner, and Elizabeth Swann.

Ships:

I really like Jack, Will, and Elizabeth in any combination, followed by Bootstrap/Jack, Blackbeard/Jack, Barbossa/Elizabeth, and Jack or Barbossa with Tia Dalma. After that, I like Jack, Elizabeth, and Anamaria in any combination, plus Jack/Norrington, Beckett/Norrington, Norrington/Elizabeth, Beckett/Elizabeth, and Pintel/Ragetti.

Gen:

I like anyting about Jack's employment with the EITC, Jack's bargain with Davy Jones, the time Jack spent chasing after the Pearl pre-CotBP, and Jack's stint at World's End. I also like anything about Barbossa, Blackbeard, and Tia Dalma at any point in time, as well as the ten years Elizabeth spent waiting for Will to return.

Kinks and/or Enticements:

Snark, banter, snappy dialogue, and Jack being inescapably Jack. Angst. Sex on the beach and sex on the Pearl. Pintel, Ragetti, and Barbossa poaching on Elizabeth, Elizabeth in jealous fits because Tia Dalma is ogling Will, and Will in jealous fits because Jack and Elizabeth are ogling each other.

M*A*S*H:

Characters:

My favorite character is Hawkeye Pierce, hands down. After that, I like Trapper John, Henry Blake, Sherman Potter, and Radar O'Reilly.

Ships:

I really, really like Hawkeye/Trapper. To a lesser degree, I like Henry/Radar, Hawkeye/Mulcahy, Hawkeye/Margaret, Charles/Margaret, and Hawkeye/BJ.

Gen:

Oddly, I'm not all that big on fics set before or after the war. However, I will eat up a good warfic with a spoon, particularly if it has a day-in-the-life type flavor.

Kinks and/or Enticements:

Angst cleverly combined with humor. Gin-drinking and nurse-chasing. Margaret in high dudgeon, and Frank being a supercillious ass. Fumbling first times in the supply tent, Peg!guilt from BJ, and people using sex as an escape from the war.

NCIS:

Characters:

My favorite characters are Jethro Gibbs and Tony DiNozzo, but I also like Tim, Abby, Ziva, and Kate.

Ships:

I like Gibbs, Tony, and Kate in any combination, followed by Gibbs/Jenny, Tony/Ziva, Tony/Abby, and Tim/Abby. I also have a small place in my heart for Ari/Kate and Gibbs/Allison, provided it's unpleasant enough.

Gen:

I really liked team-driven casefic, and anything that explores the first time Tony and Gibbs worked together, and how Gibbs managed to poach Tony away from the Baltimore PD. I also like anything about the team after Kate's death, Ziva's first few weeks as a member of the team, and Kate's bizarre attraction to Ari Haswari.

Kinks and/or Enticements:

Gibbs pining in ridiculously stoic silence. Tony falling in love with Gibbs (or Ziva), and refusing to admit it to anyone, even himself. Tony and Gibbs getting together through the machinations of others, and Abby behaving jealously because the new agent/victim/witness/suspect is flirting with Tim.

[Sundry information about my own writing, as seen in a recent meme

1. Sirius has sex, or tries to have sex, or talks about having sex. Failing that, there's at least one reference to Sirius being naked, or to Sirius having recently been naked. Failing that failing that, Sirius talks about that one time, when he ended up naked.
   
   
2. At some point, someone will end up trapped in a broom cupboard.
   
   
3. While the pairing list fails to mention Remus/Sirius, and Remus and Sirius are in fact shacked up with other people, the Remus/Sirius manages to be implied.
   
   
4. If it's not a threesome, it probably should be. Or, it would be, if the three people involved would stop shagging by twos long enough to sort themselves out.
   
   
5. The POV character is under the impression that Grimmauld Place is trying to tell him something.
   
   
6. James is so far back in the closet he can see Narnia.
   
   
7. The people having sex are not having sex with the people they actually want to have sex with.
   
   
8. Regulus and Sirius are not entirely sure how they feel about each other, or how they are supposed to feel about each other, but it doesn't really matter, because they end up naked with each other, or naked with other people while thinking about each other.
   
   
9. Dialogue and action sequences are interspersed with random commentary on things like the scenery, the décor, the weather, the colour of Peter's socks, and the approximate weight of the most recent uncomfortable silence.
   
   
10. It's all about Sirius, even when it isn't.
