So, I bought the Game of Thrones DVD yesterday.
OMFG.
Look. When I first heard ASoIaF was being made into a tv series, I was nearly hysterical with excitement. Then I found out it was going to be on HBO, and I was absolutely crushed, because I didn't get HBO at my old house. I had access to it briefly -- my mother earned a free, three-month HBO preview when she switched cable providers -- but it was slated to run out just as the series was going to air.
In the end, I only got to watch one episode. I loved it so much, and the wait for the DVD release was endless.
I've watched six episodes so far, and everything is gorgeous. Everyone is gorgeous. Jon Snow is so utterly, ridiculously gorgeous I can hardly stand it. I think I now have six icons of Jon Snow alone. Sean Bean is the most glorious Ned Stark I could even imagine, and Mark Addy's take on Robert Baratheon is wonderful. I really am loving everyone so far, but I am particularly keen on Arya, Bran, Sam, and Gendry.
Also, this:

I think I could, too. I definitely could read an entire book of Renly and Littlefinger trolling each other.
